MWCEA serves students from early childhood through grade 9, providing a strong academic foundation alongside consistent, daily support. As enrollment has grown, Mwanzo has expanded its classrooms, staff, and programming to ensure that each student continues to receive individualized attention and care.

Students at MWCEA benefit from certified teachers, two hot meals each day, STEM and computer labs, transportation from surrounding villages, extracurricular programs, and mental health support for students and families. Together, these elements create a stable and nurturing environment where students can focus not only on academic success, but on personal growth and confidence.

A Whole-Child Approach to Learning

At Mwanzo, education extends beyond textbooks and exams. Students are supported in ways that recognize the full reality of their lives—emotionally, socially, and physically. Mental health services are integrated into the school experience, helping students navigate challenges, build resilience, and feel grounded in their learning environment. This approach also connects students to real-world skills through science labs, digital learning, and hands-on activities that encourage curiosity and problem-solving.

Access, Opportunity, and Leadership

Access to education is not guaranteed for many families in Rabuor, which is why Mwanzo actively works to remove barriers. School buses connect students from surrounding villages, ensuring consistent attendance and safe travel. Daily meals provide nourishment that supports both health and learning. Students are encouraged to lead and explore through enrichment opportunities such as scouts, chess, choir, drama, debate, conservation, and computer programs.

The High School Pathway

Mwanzo’s commitment to students continues well beyond grade 9. Through its High School Scholars Program, students receive the support they need to transition into secondary school and succeed once they arrive. 96% of Mwanzo students qualify for high school, and for nearly all of them, this represents a first in their family’s history. Mwanzo ensures students are supported every step of the way.
