The new year started off with a bang on the ground in Rabuor: the new MWHS Small Health Facility was dedicated by Bishop Charles Ong’njino and launched on January 9th, and the 11 students who sat for the junior secondary school exam all passed and received placements at various high schools across the country! 🥳
As much as MD and Country Director Dr. Owende want to sponsor all 11 students who passed their exams and received placements at high schools, we only have funding to sponsor five of them. If you are a monthly donor, please consider dedicating your donation to our High School Scholarship Program. The financial barrier remains the greatest obstacle these students face in completing their education, and by dedicating the donations you are already making to our HSSF, you allow us to support as many of these young scholars as possible.

We are so grateful for those who continue to widen the circle of hope in Rabuor and her surrounding villages, and we thought it was time to show, not tell.
As some of you may recall from the Holiday Letter, we announced the development of a brand-new donor rewards program, and I’m super excited to share that it officially launched this month! If you are a donor of at least $25/month, you will be placed in a donation tier according to your donation level. The tiers and their respective rewards are as follows:
Tier 1: $25-$199 per month. Donors making sustaining monthly donations of $25-$199 will receive one collectible trading card featuring Mwanzo students, staff, and projects per quarter via mail.
Tier 2: $200-$415 per month. Donors making sustaining monthly donations of $200-$415 will receive quarterly Mwanzo trading cards plus quarterly Zoom calls from MD and staff on the ground in Rabuor.
Tier 3: $5,000 per year. Donors who give $5,000+ per year will receive Tier 2 perks, plus semi-annual dinners with MD and the Board of Directors.
Tier 4: $200+ per month for three consecutive years. Buckle your seatbelts for this one, folks: donors who pledge to give $200+ for three consecutive years will have the opportunity to travel to Rabuor and tour MWCEA, the MWHS Small Health Clinic, and other Mwanzo facilities! This is an invaluable opportunity to thank our most loyal donors for their generous and continued support. Travel not included… sorry 😅
We will begin sending out rewards at the end of the quarter, which ends on March 31st. If you donate at least $25 monthly, keep an eye on your mailbox for some fun goodies.
